Registration will be opening soon for the 2026 MAPP Conference & Reverse Vendor Fair (RVF)!

Connecting the Dots: Strategic Communication for Successful Procurement

Wednesday, April 8 - Friday, April 10, 2026

Chateau on the Lake, Branson MO

What is an RVF?  At a Reverse Vendor Fair, the MAPP Conference Attendees will have an assigned table to represent their agency.  Vendors will move from table to table to learn how to do business with your agency!  It is a good idea to bring your business cards, a fully charged laptop so vendors can register to receive your bid notifications and information on how to do business with your agency.   Visit the MAPP website in the Member Area Document Library for examples of what to bring to an RVF.  ALL CONFERENCE ATTENDEES WILL HAVE A TABLE ASSIGNED TO THEIR AGENCY AND ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND THE RVF TO REPRESENT YOUR AGENCY! An empty table with your agency's name on it is not a good representation of your agency.

Improving the Message: Communicating Procurement through Effective Instruction Presented by Victor Leamer
As procurement professionals, we’re often placed in situations where we need to explain—or even justify—the value of our services to stakeholders. When approaching our colleagues from a place of knowledge, however, we can become strategic partners, transitioning our appearance from being paper pushers to advocates and educators who effectively demonstrate the value of the procurement function. Whether you’re just starting to pursue becoming an effective communicator or seeking new tips on how to hit the next level of your career, join us for this interactive session and learn how you can enhance your skills and hit the needs of your audience no matter what your topic may be.
